Diabetes/PreventionStudy Purpose
The PROMOTE study will assess whether a test product can improve insulin sensitivity in people with Type 2 diabetes.
The test product is being developed as a medical food for people who may need additional support for blood glucose control.
About the Study
Eligible participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the test product or placebo.
Participants will be asked to take their assigned tablets twice a day for 84 days (12 weeks). Participants will need to record the time the tablets are taken as well as any adverse reactions or changes to medical condition during participation.

- Physical exam
- Height and weight
- Vital signs (pulse and blood pressure, etc.)

Study Qualifications
- Be between the ages of 18 – 70 years old
- Be diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and under the care of a healthcare professional for its management

Study Duration
Participation in the study will last approximately 15 weeks with 6 visits to Pennington Biomedical.
Compensation
Compensation of up to $250 is offered for the completion of this study.
